Privacy Policy
G&J Electrique Inc respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, why, how we protect it and what your rights are, in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. For cookies, see our cookie policy.
Information we collect
- Estimate request: first name, last name, email, phone, city, service type, project description and any files or photos you choose to add.
- Estimate acceptance: the full address of the work and the date of acceptance.
- Communications with our team: the content of emails and messages you send us about your project.
- Browsing the site: visit statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies. See our cookie policy.
We only collect the information needed to handle your request.
Why we use it
- Respond to your request and prepare an estimate
- Plan and carry out the work, and follow up afterwards
- Communicate with you about your project
- Meet our legal, tax and professional obligations
We do not sell your personal information. By sending us a request, you consent to its use for these purposes.
Who has access
Only the members of our team who need it to handle your request have access to your information. We also rely on providers that process it on our behalf, solely to run our services:
- Vercel: website and uploaded file hosting
- Neon: database where requests are stored
- Resend: sending confirmation and follow-up emails
- Google: address suggestions (Google Maps) and visit statistics
- Microsoft Clarity: browsing statistics, if you accept cookies
- Anthropic (Claude): an assistant tool that helps our team summarize requests and prepare replies, always reviewed by our team before sending
These providers may store or process information outside Québec, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
Requests that do not lead to work are deleted once they are no longer needed. Once moved to the trash, they are permanently erased after 30 days, along with their files. Requests tied to an accepted estimate or completed work are kept as long as needed for our records, follow-up on the work and our legal and tax obligations, then deleted.
How we protect it
Communications with our site are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to our request management tool is password-protected and limited to our team. We work with established providers that apply their own security measures.
Your rights
You may at any time ask to access the information we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent or request its deletion, subject to our legal obligations. We respond to requests within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
